I know everyone calls pitch marks or ball marks on the green “divots” but it will never sound right to me.

Hey Dan an interesting post. Reading it and knowing how many hours you put in once again makes one appreciate how good the pros are. A 10 day break and then having to try and fathom it all out just highlights that. Realistically what is your gut feel in terms of your original goal now that you are this far into the 10,000 hours?
It is clear you love the game but is that and the 10,000 hours enough to take you to the top level?
I guess I am saying is the theory holding up?

Interesting divot tool experiment. Thinking I might buy two. Put one away and measure my greens in regulation by wear on the divot tool.
