Dan, your round of March 3 was not your first recordable round of 2014. Your notes indicate you played about 6 times in California, which has no inactive season for recording rounds. Record those rounds as well as the ones in Oregon before March 15 so your handicap is accurate.
Yes, this is certainly a bit detail oriented but if you play in handicapped events or ones that are flighted by handicap, you really should have an accurate handicap index. The USGA handicap system is very specific about when to post scores.

Robert,
I don't think I quite understand what you mean. Are you saying the swing I am trying to build has flawed mechanics?

Here is my prediction based upon 20+ years on the mind and body work I done is that you will in the upcoming 3 years struggle with your golf mechanics, and 5 years from now also. Make no sense to try to do a golf swing that none on the tour is able to do consistently and if 200+ players cant do it that plays the tour I wish you good luck on this as you are highly probable to not be able to either. I have the data for it.
( be back in 3 years to check for this as this is my last post here for the next 3 years)

Good luck dude.
