This is a really cool idea in that it is measurable and reasonable. It does get me thinking about the whole 10,000 hours concept. 10,000 hours of golf for example surely involves a lot of moving from shot to shot, watching as it travels etc. It must be a very different animal from say - 10,000 hours of full contact martial arts sparring. I would imagine, due to it's intensity 1000 hours of sparring would be roughly equivalent. Fighting for an hour a day for about 3 years could get you pretty good I'd imagine, and it's measurable in it's own less precise way. Anyone else got the same feeling that the intensity of your task could be a huge factor in becoming expert?
