That sucks, nothing worse than the blow up hole following a great hole. Whenever I get a birdie I just try and keep as level headed as a bogey or par and not get too cocky on the next hole, the course knows….

You were given good advice on the hole after your eagle. I sunk a 9 iron on a par 4 two years ago and was so excited that on the next hole, I skied the drive badly and made triple bogey which more than nullified the eagle. If I eagle another hole, I will try not to lose concentration.
