Hi William,

Those scores are there. It's the ESC or Equitable Strokes Control that have them a bit lower for handicap purposes. I'm sure you know the rules, but for those who don't:

EQUITABLE STROKE PROCEDURE
18 hole course handicap, Max strokes allowed on any hole:
9 or less (handicap) = Double bogey
10-19 (handicap) = 7 max
20-29 = 8 max
30-39 = 9 max
40+ = 10 max
Note it is course handicap NOT index. After conversion one will use chart above.

Using those rules as a 13 handicap at the courses they were played at, the most I can take for the GHIN system is a 7 on any given hole. During those rounds I had a couple blow-up holes where I shot 10s. So, there is a discrepancy on the scores between The Dan Plan website and GHIN. When I enter rounds for my stats, I include all shots on all holes. Those two rounds were the first that I had ESC issues. The rounds entered into GHIN as a 95 and 92 instead of 100 and 98.

Thanks as always!

Hey Dan, curious why sometimes your scores posted from the watch don't match what goes towards your handicap... Specifically I was looking for the 100 and 98 or whatever. ESC is the only thing I could think of.

Hi Sean,

Whenever a chance like that comes up it's impossible to turn it down. Who would have known a year ago that I would have the opportunity to walk along with Bernhard Langer and Joey Sindelar? It was a great experience and a huge boost to my learning curve!

Dan,

Very wise to take advantage of this opportunity. All the strokes and course management becomes secondary when you are on the tour dealing with the day to day distraction that accompany being a pro. It was great you got to see two real pro's in their element. I loved the recent show. Keep up the focus!
