Getting to the next level will require a mastery of the short game. Always amazed at how many strokes are saved on the Tours with the putter. Not sure how many hours Dan is dedicating to deliberate short game practice. Even Tiger can’t hit his driver but still can post a number. Than to me is the key! No Bogeys…..

It sounds like you both did bloody well given the conditions.
What’s your impression of Dan’s game at the moment, and how does it compare with your own play at a similar stage?

Willy, your the one that keeps referencing your game against Dans. If you really are 2.5 strokes better, never play golf, and fly the ball 280 come out and prove it. As I said before, grow a pair. I also don’t remember saying Dan would be on the tour in 4 years, I don’t have to explain anything. You’ve already been wrong about your 85 or over guarantee this weekend, and then you subtly hint you might be at Langdon but remain completely anonymous. Sorry Dave didn’t see the post until I had to click on your name and searched past posts. Why don’t you tell me and the rest of the golfing world why Dan will be successful and make the pga tour in 4 years? If this is about me vs you pick a new target I don’t much interest in competing with you or Dan for that matter. My point has never been I am a better golf than Dan, I could care less about that, its that people are completely underestimating what it takes to make the tour IMO.

Haven’t played CECC so I don’t know. I’m currently a +1. We played the ball down, mud balls all day, It was 38 degrees when we teed off, maybe it got up to 45 by the time we walked off. It rained off and on and the wind was a constant 10-20 mph. Overall it was fairly tough scoring conditions.
