Geoff,

A good training routine and some physical therapy are a must. Glad you've had a season this year free of injury and good luck getting that handicap down this summer!

Playing with injury or illness is a must in competative sport. Very few athletes as a season draws to a close are not carrying an injury of some type. In my 3rd season of golf since 2009 my practise regime is catered to the competitions I am playing. This season as my goal of a 10 hcp is getting closr the training is specific to develop the shots needed to maintain that level of golf and challenge to go lower if possible. I spent many round playing injured in 2009 and 2010. Also losing 3-4 months oplaying time with injury. This season the balanced training, regular massage therapy and improved fittness have me playing well and only a few small strains that are looked after with a specific traing program.

Hello Inconsistency,

Thanks for the question. I will most definitely continue to golf after the 10,000 hours are up. As I have learned over the past year, golf is less a game and more of a lifestyle and I'm a huge fan of the constant challenge! Sorry if I come off as indifferent about the game for some reason, I can assure you I love playing and will continue for a long time.

Thanks!

Dan, my question is unrelated to this post in particular (and indeed you may have answered it elsewhere), but I'm curious:

Do you think you will continue to play golf for fun after the completion of TDP? Or is it solely the method for an experiment meant to find out about learning capacity in yourself as an adult human, and as such you have no special endearment towards it?
