Hi Dan, first off, I respect you so much for your undertaking. I believe golf is the best game on the planet so if nothing else you've started on a quest to a more enjoyable life.

That being said, I just stumbled onto your site, this is the first blog post of your which I've read. Considering now that you are about 25% done with your quest I would have hoped that you would have a much better understanding of the golf swing by now. I don't mean to sound like an asshole but the short list of tips you've included with this post definitely infers that you have a shallow understanding of the golf swing. I know you are on a tight schedule and you probably feel that your time is best spent hitting golf balls but I feel that the best improvement comes with a complete understanding of an efficient golf swing. Once you understand, you can then practice the movements in a deliberate way.

Here is a thread which I posted on golfWRX (great resource for learning BTW).

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/572443-philosophicalfundamental-musings-about-learning-and-the-best-way-to-swing-a-golf-club/

I hope it helps you on your journey. I'm pulling for you!!!

If you ever have any questions, drop me a line, I love discussing golf

Tony,

True, I hadn't prioritized, but like the idea. Will have to find a good system going forward, I like how Roberto's importances change over time. That's pretty interesting.

Cheers,

Dan

Roberto,

Glad to see a fellow lefty on here, there aren't many of us on the links. We need to have a lefty revolution out on the tour!

I like the rating system, will have to adopt that..

Agree with most of these - but then, you wouldn't expect everybody to agree about everything, would you?
The point, though, is how to record important info. I write golf notes on my computer but I'm not good at prioritising and categorising (see Roberto's AAA system). So sometimes I go in circles. As in life, indeed...

Good list for me, also because I am left hand too (so i don't need to convert everything!)
I use a little book to take notes of things to remember, divided in sections (putt, chip, drive, ...) and with rating: AAA very important, AA important and so on.
The interesting thing is that rating change over the time.

Ciao
