I have to say sorry here but I like the swing positions you have before a lot more. For me it looks more compact. I'd echo the thoughts of some others on here, be careful not to go changing swing too often for the sake of it. Tinkering can work but it can go horribly wrong (see Padraig Harrington post Major victories). Love the site and I wish you continued improvement and ultimate success, J

Hey Dan, PX pxi shaft is a low launch, light(er) shaft, where as KBS Tour is a mid (although they say mid-low) launch shaft that in your case is about 10% heavier than pxi. So, when I fit people to different shafts, I dont call these two shafts "similar" to each other. Of course, KBS Tour shaft can be cut to be a lower (than mid) launch, but the weight remains about the same.

Get real for a second. 3 hours for 18 holes with multiple balls makes a mockery of the whole concept.
I wonder if he was putting in a time sheet for payment for work whether he would be so economical with the stopwatch

that is, again, your opinion. it's not your experiment. there are whole sections of this blog and interviews where Dan outlines how he has worked with coaches and scholars on how to best approach this project. whether it be methods, routines, or ways of quantifying data. you may not agree with these approaches but don't pretend that you have the right to know what they are or get to have a say on them. and don't start conversations and comment on someone's blog in a confrontational and accusatory manner and then expect an explanation or an audience from the author. common sense, man. And finally, as someone that knows, Dan is fully capable of playing 18 holes in under 4 hours, and given that he always walks the course, taking out an hour of that time as non-practice time, meaning he is walking, waiting for a partner to play, eating, etc, and not fully engaged in the actual practice of the game, seems very reasonable. Bare in mind that what you think you know about golf, how it is played, and how it is learned is all exactly what this project/experiment is not about. And that is why so many of us follow it and enjoy it. It's not a golf story about a man learning to play golf. It is a human experiment in potential and intention. Of course the outcome is important, whether he can play at professional level. And of course there are always naysayers and people who think they know how to do it better, call it a frase, etc. But in order to appreciate life, sometimes you have to just believe that the people in charge know what the fuck they are doing.

you are missing the point of deliberate practice. look it up. if you can't grasp that concept then the entirety of this project is meaningless to you. oh well. the good part is it's not about you and your opinion on the matter does not, in fact, matter.
