Jon,

So far so good. Only time will tell if I can't replicate the rounds, but they feel so much better than my old clubs with every swing so far.

Hi Jari,

Thanks mate! I think about you and your shop often, I need to stop by from time to time. I'm actually very curious as to what the exact specs are with them now as things aren't always perfect when you order them, so maybe I'll stop by this week.

I think what went wrong 1.5 years ago was that the fitter at Titleist wanted me to get into standard equipment as he was under the impression my swing was changing and I would basically morph into using the standard length and lie. Since then I have really concreted my swing and haven't gotten as steep as some would say is best. But, instead of continuing to try and morph my swing to fit the clubs I have found some irons and wedges that fit what I am bringing now. Next goal is to get a driver and 3-wood that I can hit as well as the new set of irons I just got...

See you soon,

Dan

1) You're always welcome to come to BirdieFinish Golf to have your clubs checked. 3-4 times a year...
2) Didnt you have your club fitted at Titleist 1.5 years ago? Did they get them that wrong?

Hi Charlie,

Good point. I don't have my hybrid, 3-wood or driver figured out yet, but as soon as I do I'll update all the specs. Hopefully soon!

Cheers,

Dan

Dan,
I am looking forward to hearing more about your new "sticks" :-)
I myself have been delaying going to a club fitter for far too long.
Keep the faith, hoping to see your handicap improve steadily at the start of the new season.

Dan, nothing beats the excitement of a new set of clubs. Don't be shocked if your next few times out you don't have that same "fluid" feeling to swinging the clubs. I went through the fitting process earlier last season and had the same first outing experience you are talking about. The next two rounds I wasn't able to replicate that feeling and it was very easy to get discouraged. Knowing how much you practice I am sure you will fight right through that frustration and start honing them in! The wedges were the hardest to fully get used to although once they are dialed in they have made the biggest difference. Happy swinging and thanks for sharing!
