... and some people say golf isn't a sport!

Remember, all these aches and pains are just your body growing and morphing itself into something new. You want that pain, because you don't want a photographers body - you want a golfers body. If there's no pain, you're not changing anymore.

I have background as a massage therapist and I am very well versed in how the body is the "outpicturing" of Consciousness (it's my specialty). What more and more athletes are discovering is that they have to engage their sport with a lot more attention to the interaction of their Awareness with their body to perform well. It used to be called "mindbody" training, but that doesn't cover enough of who we really are. My question is how much of your self care involves different kinds of massage (from relaxation to deep tissue and rehabilitative bodywork), Tai Chi and/or Qi Cong. energetic and natural medicines/nutritional support, and so on? This would also include learning how your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are affecting your body, particularly the soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia). If you are not in direct communication with your "felt sense" it's very easy to injure or have trouble reading the kinesthetic sense in grooving your strokes correctly. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to find out more about this Dan.
