Hi Alan,

I was actually talking about that article this morning.

One part I think that rings true is the bit Rick Jensen said: "golfers need coaches like in other sports, someone to give them drills, monitor their progress, send them out to scrimmage and give them feedback." I think that is such a missing part of the golfer's training. Having a coach adjust something in your stance/swing will only get you coming back for more lessons and adjustments. What we need is a firm understanding of the swing and then the right drills to implement that understanding and to further the skill set.

On that note, you want to tee it up next week? I'm in town until April 2 and would love to play again. I'm always up for a round :)

Thanks!

Juan,

Yes sir! a day off does wonders, it's funny how much the body can heal with just one day of not swinging the club as hard as you can :) And, I don't think I'm ever more sore than after 6 hours of putting...

Keep it up!

Hello Ben,

Thanks for the input. I hadn't really thought about pitching the idea to different groups (or really about pitching it to anyone) but that makes complete sense. This one is out there for anyone to see now and time will tell what comes from it. Next time I'll do one for the scientific community alone as I would love some data help.

Have a great one!

Hi Sima,

I do try and take Saturdays away from training to rest the bones, but over the past few weeks my off day has been flying from Portland to Atlanta, so this week I really needed a day to stave tendinitis and other nasty speed bumps.

Thanks!

Dan,
I'm not sure whether you've talked about this before but do you not have a rest day built into your schedule?

hey dan,

as always, great stuff.

regarding your request for feedback on your most recent video (the pitch), here's my unprofessional take:

- the quality was great. everything looks and feels well done.
- definitely get the sense that you're passionate, committed, and excited about this, and that you have supporters out there
- wasn't sure who your target audience was...

I'm guessing that your biggest donors would be those who are a) interested in the 10,000 hour hypothesis and want to see someone really try it out all the way through, b) people with equipment and teaching techniques to showcase, c) those who want to prove that golf is a sport available to everyone, and d) those who wish they could be doing what you're doing. If that's an accurate guess, then I'd focus on adapting your current video into two videos, one targeted to group a (more of an academic/grant proposal pitch), and another targeted to group b (more of a corporate/investment feel).

just my two cents. hope this is helpful!
