Hello Micke,

Thanks for reading the entire blog! Talk about determination... You are right, I should post graphs and stats along the way and that is one thing that I know I have not done well in implementing. I will try and get some of those together in the near future and start posting them up.

I will also gather all of my putting and chipping drills and put together a post of those. I have a number of those now and I think that they could help anyone interested i improving their game.

Thanks for the suggestions and for following along!

Hi Dan,

just found your website and blog the other day. I didn't want any spoiler so I started from the first blog and couldn't stop reading until I came to the latest entry. I like your style of writing and I'm incredibly humbled by your determination and focus! I also find your whole project very interesting.

On several ocations you mention stats and you often measure your progress in numbers. Why not share those numbers with us in the form of graphs? It would be interesting to see how you develop over the years. Furhermore, it would (once you get a handicap) give other golfers reference points and could help us pinpoint our own weaknesses.

Another nifty thing would be to collect all your drills and games (with descriptions on how to do the drill, what the goal is and difficulty level) into one place. I'm sure many of your readers would love to try the drills you use in order to imrpove their own game. At least I know I would.

I hope you enjoyed the season's last major and got lota of inspiraton from Atlanta.Best of luck with your project. Can't wait to see you on the Tour!

Hi Anton,

Glad we are arriving at similar conclusions regardless of our methods of getting there. It all boils down to making consistent and contact with the ball, eh?

Have fun over there and keep it up!

Hi Dan,

A few of your remarks are the same as the "aha-erlebnis"-es I had before. Chipping is for me the easiest shot just because you just have to keep the pendulum movement very rigid and therefore are not allowed to "hit" the ball as I always want to ;-).
As I'm playing all my shots with a 54° wedge I need to change the amplitude of my backswing for every shot. This is actually my biggest difficulty for the moment since I'm not keeping my movement/swing completely the same when I'm not going for the full swing. This results most often in hitting the ground before the ball and as a consequence the distance of the shot is mostly short of what I wanted. I'm working very hard on this now :)). It's all in the motion ...
My pro also talked before about blind people playing golf and being very good at it while they focus on the swing without the "visual distraction". So it might be a good thing to practice blindfolded from time to time.

It seems we are coming to similar conclusions in a different way :))

Keep up the good work,
