Remember way back when Tiger first got serious with Elin and the media predicted impending destruction of his game? Now it will be (in crazy, over-hyped voice) "IS THIS THE END OF THE DAN PLAN? WILL HAVING A GIRLFRIEND RUIN DAN'S DETERMINATION? MORE AT 11!" :)

Sorry, for some reason that popped in my head and made me chuckle.

You deserve a break - enjoy yourselves.

I may have missed a description of your fitness regime elsewhere in your blog; if so, I apologize for the oversight.

You might want to consider doing basic barbell training a three days a week using the old school, classic exercises: squats, standing presses, deadlifts, bench press, and maybe some pull ups. All with barbells and with full range of motion. Standing presses will do miracles for your shoulders.

Looking at your physique, you are not a risk of getting musclebound, and if you employ a full range of motion you will actually increase your flexibility. You will strengthen your core and back far more with deadlifts and squats than doing ab work. If you are careful and patient you will significantly decrease injury potential.

Likely end results: You will eventually hit the ball a lot further, and you will feel better.
