Love what you're doing and good luck with it all.
Back in 1998 I went up to a conference at The Homestead in the mountains of Virginia.
The day before we played golf at a local public course.
Sitting in the clubhouse with a buddy was Sam Snead, who had just completed an early round. What an experience talking with him and hearing his stories, as there was only our group of 3 plus Sam & his buddy in the clubhouse.
When we left we looked at his clubs and were amazed to see that his wedges had no grooves left on the face of them in the line of the sweet spot. He had told us to look at them and said it was about time he replaced them.
We later went to his restaurant "Sam's" where he has a display of each ball he used for each hole-in-one he'd had.....I think there were 27 balls in the cabinet.

Dan,
Just an FYI. I finished watching your Tournament video and wanted to let you know that you should have penalized yourself on Hole #3, for building your stance in the bunker with your left foot. You can't push the sand down like you did as your foot slipped a few times.

Dan,
Im new to your epic battle to try and master this game, after reading about your quest in Golf magazine. How much time do you practice the driver, and how much instruction are you receiving?

The wedge looks fine in the picture. (amazingly, can't believe you don't have some noticeable face wear)

Also, don't forget It's very common for people to have difficulty getting off the tee and into a good spot, It's not just a huge part of golf it's one of the most difficult things to do consistently (see Tiger Woods) I'm not sure if that's good news or bad news but even the best in the world struggle with it.
