Tony,

This is very true. I'm not sure what the exact difficulty is from one single digit handicap to the next, but it definitely becomes more of a challenge the lower you go. Just have to love the journey and keep at it.

Gabe,

I would love to put more episodes up, just don't have the time or money to make them. Thanks for asking, though!

Hi Grant,

Thanks for finding the project again after hearing about it on the BBC. And, thank you for the encouraging words.

There is a chance I will be in Scotland later this year, if that is the case then we should meet up and tee it up!

Just read your entire blog after randomly remembering hearing your interview on BBC Radio Scotland last year and googling '10000 hours golf'.

At the time you were only pitching from 100 or so yards. When I heard the Radio interview I thought your project sounded a bit mental, and it was a big risk with no guarantee of success.

Amazing to read the progress you've made to a single figure handicapper. Would be excellent to see you making the Nationwide Tour and then the PGA tour and make a living from the Sport.

Total commitment and 100% effort. I'm sure you practice more thoroughly and for more hours than most Pro's.

Good luck. Hope you make it to Scotland soon to see what the home of Golf has to offer (sadly winters are much like Portland).

And remember, while working just as hard, to be forgiving on yourself as regards the numbers. From here on it, the numbers get tougher, however strange that seems.

Getting down from 8 to 6 is simply not the same as from 10 to 8. It's thougher. Similarly, getting down from 6 to 5 handicap will be five times as hard as getting down from 10 to 9. You're on the cusp of playing really good golf. Most people never go there. But be patient - the numbers are going to play much harder to get from now on in!

Keep at it, Dan!
