Another great day

This week’s started off on the right foot.  Sunday was a blast out at Heron, perfect weather, the people were all in a good mood and the greens were rolling beautifully.  Today was just about the same, I had gone out to try and put in four hours before going to the gym for one of Shawn Dailey’s workouts, but ended up staying out there for six hours because it was so nice, and my energy level was really high.  I’m not sure how long this will last, but for the time I’m just going to ride it out and enjoy these days!

One thing contributing to my energy might be the energy bars that Marijke and I made this weekend.  We blended a few nuts and dried fruits together with date paste and added in some protein powder and seeds to make them kind of like a clif bar or power bar.  All in all, I’m happy with how they taste and how much energy they provide, but think that next time I’ll add in some oats to bulk them up, along with either puffed rice or millet.  Regardless, we’re on to something here and I think that bringing homemade snacks to my practice will be great for a little boost and won’t cost nearly as much as buying them at the store, something that can help The Dan Plan continue for all 10,000 hours!
