Tea time, one day perhaps it will be tee time.

Sitting at my current job, sipping a cup of tea and wondering what it is I’m getting myself into. Not so much in a negative way, just curious as to what the day to day will be like starting in two weeks.

There are so many unanswered questions still about what the daily life is like of a professional athlete (I say professional, because we are going to try and train exactly how a top-athlete would train, so my life should emulate that of a pro). Will there be time for a nice cup of tea and a little cruising of the internet? Maybe an afternoon walk to the park? Hard to say. Guess the only way we’ll find out is by doing it and seeing what the possibilities and limitations of the new lifestyle are.

Regardless, it is very exciting to be just two weeks away!

Hopefully this week I will be able to branch out and make some contacts at local public golf courses that are cool with me using their putting greens for hours at a time on a daily basis. And, Christopher and I are going to do a putter fitting, meeting with the nutritionist’s colleague about a metabolic testing, need to talk with the psychologist about recording my thoughts for his project and am flying to Omaha on Friday to shoot a wedding (probably the last one I ever photograph).  Another good week of getting things accomplished.

I have also been personally finishing my basement slowly over the past 6 months (put in a new bathroom, two rooms, laundry room, walls, carpet, ceiling, etc) and I think it will be finally finished too, so I can move downstairs and enjoy a little more space.  The upstairs is rented out to a couple of friends and I have been in one of the bedrooms on the main floor.  Moving downstairs will be a bit quieter and give me more privacy moving forward which, to me, equals better sleep.

Lots to do for the time being, including seven more days of sipping cups of tea and sitting around waiting for “shot approvals” out here in Newberg. Hard to say what life will be like a month from now, but whatever direction it takes, I’m ready for the change. I hope The Plan is just the beginning.
