anticlimactic first week
Sitting back at my desk in Newberg twiddling my thumbs (although not too much, there’s plenty of photo work to do) and reflecting on how the first week got pushed back a week..
Day one was good, got out to the course and introduced myself a couple people who work there as well as got out and putted around for a couple hours to get a feel for what I am getting into. Also went out and had Donn Dimond do a physical assessment of me (which I think I passed in the sense that I could physically swing a club as far as I need to, but totally failed strength wise.) and met with Kate about concreting the gym membership and the nutrition stuff. But since then, decided to come out to Newberg and work a few more days instead of sitting around waiting for the clubs to arrive and the coach to return. In a sense, I am glad for the delay because it allows me to organize lots of little details of my life before venturing into the plan, but now that those things are taken care of, I am a little anxious to start. But, at the same time, what’s a one week delay when it’s a 4 year (or 208 week) project? not much, so I should just sit back, enjoy earning a few more dollars to help pay for a few more green’s fees and relax.
Going to do just that. Enjoy one last golf free weekend and hope the sun comes out next week..
