back to reality..
We made it back to Portland tonight. It was a quick trip, but we covered 1,900 miles in just a few days, so I’m a bit dizzy from the journey but ready to get back to a good practice routine starting tomorrow (might be a short day because I have a few things I need to take care of and I’m not sure my concentration level will be what it was before we left..).
Boise was interesting. I practiced at Warm Springs Golf Course this morning and it was a beautiful spot, but the practice green was almost completely flat, so I was very limited in what I could do. That course and the ones in Omaha and Denver made me really thankful that The Plan is taking place in Portland. Not that they are bad or anything, but it’s just that we have so many different public courses that you can play/practice here that I can go to a different one every day of the week.
The trip did leave me looking forward to the day when I can actually play all of these different courses across the country. It’s nice to see them and get a taste of the grass on the practice greens, but actually playing them properly will be another story all together, one that I can’t wait to blog about in the coming years.
For now, I’m going to try and get back into my routine and book a session with coach Smith where we will go over how to hold and swing a club and actually start hitting the ball up in the air for real.
