Never thought the day would come..
It’s one of those small moments in life that seems inconsequential at the time, but then when you look back you realize that it actually changed your entire way of being. Well, perhaps that’s a little exaggerated, but while driving home from Pumpkin Ridge today with a golfing magazine in the trunk of my car I realized that I had officially and completely changed directions in my life. Just a couple years ago I never in a million years could have imagined owning, let alone reading, a golf magazine. And, I know that this seems unimportant, I am now actually interested in reading a few of the articles and seeing if there are any pointers that could improve my game.
Life is a bizarre trip, the thing I like most about it is the unpredictability of it all. Mirroring that is the game of golf. No matter how good you are, you can never know exactly where the ball is going to go or what type of lie you will have on your next shot. I think that is why I am liking this game so much, the more time I spend studying it the more I realize that I haven’t even skimmed the surface of it’s complexities.
So, here I am, owning a golf magazine. It’s the first, but I am almost certain it won’t be the last. That said, we never know exactly where we’re going next, so I can’t say for sure, but I can say that I’m enjoying this new adventure and am excited about where it might take me over the next few years. Who knows what will happen!
I also (it’s the box just behind the magazine) got another shipment of clothes from Nike. I have not had a chance to open them yet, but it looks like everything is a small and there is rain gear inside. Thank you VERY kindly Nike for providing this! The rain gear will probably get more use than any rain gear has ever gotten before by the time this is all over.. The fall is upon us already out here in the Pacific Northwest, something I’m a bit less excited about, but at least I’ll have the practice greens to myself soon! (rain scares away a lot of weekend warriors..)
