entering with a cold

Today is the last Tuesday as a commercial photographer.  As a nice sendoff for The Dan Plan, my body decided to catch a nasty little head cold.

The cold was probably do to flying to Omaha this past weekend to shoot my sister-in-law’s sister’s wedding.  There were a lot of kids around and not enough sleep was had.  That, and I missed the connecting flight back, so spent a good part of the day in the Denver airport..

At any rate, have a cold so my energy is down, but hope to fight it off by the weekend so I can go around and get a few things I need to start The Plan.  In particular, I’m going to need some good rain gear, it is Oregon in the spring, after all.

My coach is going to be out of town for the kickoff week, too.  But, not to worry about that, we are going to meet on Friday and hopefully get a game-plan down on what I can do throughout the first week.  I am a bit disappointed that he decided to leave last minute when we had been planning this launch for the past couple months.  I, in particular, have had the date set in stone since the end of last year and was very excited to get going.  I guess the first lesson of The Dan Plan is to be as self-sufficient as possible as these things will come up and I have to remember that it is my life on the line which makes it way more important to me than anyone else.  I’m sure that when Chris comes back and I launch the project on his schedule next week all will be well.

I still have a large number of logistical questions.  Think that these will have to answer themselves as we go along.  There is no reference book to use, will just take it day by day.

For now, work and then straight to bed, gotta fight this thing off!
