quick note

Dan-merican gothic, with putter

Another great day today.  went out to Heron Lakes in the morning and then over to Broadmoor in the afternoon.  Also had a stop at the gym for a workout and went down to the Synergy Training Center for my first session with Darren Painter.

I started Darren’s year-long cognitive performance course today and I think it is going to be a good addition to The Dan Plan.  All I can say at this point is that it involves daily activities which combine physical movements with mental exercises.  It starts with simple things like balancing while reading and moves quickly to more advanced combinations as soon as one is mastered.  I am doing to program to help with my physical balance and mental focus.  I’ll need all the focussing help I can get once we delve into the world of actual golf competitions.

So yes, it was a good day and I learned a lot of new things, while figuring out a bit of how I am going to be able to logistically fit everything into a week, which is still looking possible, even with weekends off!

Tomorrow, we head back out to Pumpkin Ridge to have another lesson with Christopher Smith.
