Things have been bustling around here.

We’ve added a new team member to The Dan Plan who I know is going to provide a huge boon to my training and progress.  His name is Dr. Fran Pirozzolo and instead of rambling on about how qualified he is and everything he has done I will let his website speak for him:  http://www.drfranpirozzolo.com/.

Fran is a colleague of Dr. K Anders Ericsson and a long-time worker in the field of human performance.  He brings knowledge and, most importantly, experience to the table.   I’m very excited to start working with Dr. Pirozzolo and have a trip scheduled to meet him the first week of November.  Things are about to change and I’m ready for the boat to be rocked.  So excited.

In other news, I played a two-on-one scramble yesterday.  A fellow 12 handicapper and I played in scramble format against Terry, a retired NFL offensive lineman who happens to be a 1 handicap.   Rob and I, the twelve handicappers, lost three out of the six holes we played.  It wasn’t a great outing by either of us, but it was really Terry’s putting that took the cake.  He sank a few 15-footers for birdie when we had two chances and missed little 6-footers.  It all comes back to putting…

Check back tomorrow for the next episode of The Dan Plan on the landing page.  It should be posted early in the morning on Tuesday, October 18.  Also, check back every Tuesday over the next 6 months for new episodes!

There will be a story running on CNN International later this week, too.  I will post a link as soon as one is up, the story is scheduled to run on Thursday at 9pm London time (4pm EST).

Judging by weather.com, we have about 3 days of sun remaining up here in the Pacific Northwest, so I am off to practice in the dry weather for perhaps the last long stretch this year.  Thanks for reading and tune back in tomorrow!
